I ran across this this memorial site today. Being as D-Day was this day of the year (June 6th), in 1944, it’s a good day to remember it.

Being as this site is more getting old and doesn’t quite represent ‘my best’ like a resume/porfolio should, I’m in the process of remaking it in Drupal. We’ll see how it turns out :)
I also intend to include a PHP application I’m making to demonstrate my PHP development skills.

Well, though I’m still doing contract based web development for FDI Creative at present, I am officially looking for a new contract-to-hire or immediate-hire position (with a decent notice period for my current job).
I’ll be happy to consider most possibilities, but my ‘dream-job’ would be an advertizing or marketing company (or company division) up in North Houston that focuses on high quality, award winning projects :D

As you might have noticed if you’ve been here before, I’ve just completed an update to this site. I’ve also got a brand new personal logo up, thanks for my husband who’s a fantastic graphic designer.
Here it is in closeup:

The reason why I chose the wind-vane with an image of a ship is because something very important to me professionally is movement ‘into the wind’ to new technologies, better implementation, cleaner markup, new and better languages and more beautiful and enjoyable user experiences. The ship is because alongside good motivation and good direction, the means to travel to a destination is important….or the skill, expertise and know-how to accomplish innovation or change. That’s why my new slogan is also ‘To a new and better web.’ :)

As far as the website, I hope you enjoy the additions I’ve made to my portfolio section of work done with FDI creative over the past year as well as the occasional project I’ve done with Alex.

My brother Tim just tried this component out on his brand new Joomla site, and I just love the way it seems to work. It has the effect of making simple joomla blog pages into near forums. I especially liked the way he used it on a category list page to result in a near forum effect :D i light solution as opposed to larger forum component packages.
